The Church of Norway participates in Mandela work

"This is fantastic," says 46664 Arctic's Activity Co-ordinator, Trine Lise Ekanger. "We are seeing a high level of involvement throughout the city and more people are coming up with ideas and suggestions about activities. We hope more good ideas will result from the public meeting on Wednesday."

The church here in Tromsø is working actively to organise a special church service on June 12. The service will focus on the HIV/AIDS problem and is expected to include speeches on the subject by invited guests. Pastor Stig Lægdene would also like nationwide involvement from the church and will try to arrange for the occasion to be marked at all churches throughout the country.
